“We have to find a balance between digital learning and learning in real life”
Daphné Piette – Director
At Children's Paradise, the staff care about giving students a voice, finding new ways to allow them to feel good in the school environment. The teaching team is actively looking for different pedagogies, more suited to the very rapid changes in society, which the school often struggles to integrate.
With this in mind, Diego Molina, a sports teacher, proposed using the LÜ in classrooms ... with success.
Says Diego Molina:
"Tablets and children are inseparable in 2021. You have to look reality in the face and work with it. And so here, the concept brings the child into a video game system where, unlike with a tablet, he must be physically active. We will also be able to rework on subjects that are usually only studied in class, such as mathematics, history or geography.
By integrating them into the physical education course we work on the complete and global development of the child. In the end, we found that the children were more involved."
At the same time, the children share their playground with goats. A completely different approach to the standard playground fare – one that encourages diversity in the school environment.
