This ‘Comics and Journalism’ project initiated at the Olympe de Gouges College offers an introduction to ‘graphic reporting’ – or illustrated journalism.
Damien Roudeau, designer, and Sébastien Daycard-Heid, editor, invited 3rd-year teachers to work on creating multimedia reports, giving them the tools necessary for their production.
The graphic reports they created lie at the crossroads of biographical testimony and documentary. The students were able to experience for themselves a journey between investigation and the creation of an artwork.
This work resulted in the creation of a fanzine and an exhibition. This exhibition was inaugurated yesterday, June 30, on the grounds of the college. It will be hung again at the start of the school year at the ‘Social Center’ of Londeau and, undoubtedly, at a later date at the Roger Gouhier media library.
This project was supported by the MICACO system of the General Council of Seine-Saint-Denis.
Noisy-le-Sec Histoire (s) was invited to a field report in Londeau on June 5, 2015.
